That is sooo funny m4l! Wife must be more dangerous than tornado. (Except when most guys joke about their wives being in charge, the guy is really the one in charge.) Oh, how does one say that and keep a semblance of PC. 🙂 Okay, smiley face may help.
We could stop taxing singles, seniors, empty nesters, etc. for schools, and take those funds out of the school budget, but you don’t want to live in the City that would result. While we’re at it, lets stop taxing parents for the cost of running senior programs, mass transit users for roads, drivers for subway and bus subsidies, web-users for libraries, blind people for streetlights, etc.
I’m also happy to have my tax dollars go to education. If we could designate where our money goes, that would be one of my choices. Our money goes to a lot of things we may not personally partake of, but that’s the price of living in a society that attempts to take care of the overall public good, from policing to infrastructure, to education to housing. Not doing so would result in chaos.
m4l, you here in Manhattan??? Want to go to Grand Szechuan??
Pete, you here too?????
