Most people get jobs through connects regardless of where they go to school. It’s pretty much always been that way. I’ve never found a job on my own even with Supposedly Presitigous Public University on my resume, which goes pretty far in any region.
I have a splendid weekend planned. Meeting up with a friend I haven’t seen all summer tonight, another friend tomorrow, a cookout Sunday and swimming in the ocean in the evening.

Speaking of job seeking…..my niece who graduated CWPost in May has arrived in NYC. Living in Astoria…needs any job to pay rent even though theater is her field. Experience in tutoring, teaching Improv.
Any leads out there? temp child care, dog-walking, office
work? Starring role in hollywood movie?
people like her eventually wind up posting in the erotic services section of craigslist.

Why are so many media reporting on this church? A church of 50 members? 50 callers to nationwide talk radio yesterday called in and said rude things and were hung up on. You don’t see reports of, “OK, let’s repudiate that person.”

All I was saying is that it’s not exactly Yale or Harvard whose graduates are positioned better to have those schools on their resumes for jobs in this economy.
actually a lot of emplyers throw resumes in the trash when they see yale or harvard. lots of employers don’t want the ‘tude that often comes with ivy leaguers.

How did you know my first name was Roger?
Wasder, I would definitely love to have a copy of that picture! Think I’d put it up in my office.
