The way to get Rob famous on a reality show is to have 4-5 general characters, Rob being one, and then as the show airs Rob stands out. “Modern Brooklyn” or something, like “The REAL City.”

What I don’t understand is how all these people who are unemployed for a year or more even survive! I keep reading articles about how hard it is for one’s self-esteem, how hard it is to fill one’s day, etc. But apart from keeping body and soul together, how about plain old food and shelter?
i’d be F*CKED! since i have zero savings and nothing of value to sell hahah. i would probably apply to every single reality tv show that exists.
Okay, I’m out of here for the afternoon, preparing for a busy weekend: art opening tonight, a museum visit and dinner with friends tomorrow, and the Brooklyn Book Festival on Sunday. Have a great weekend, everyone!
CH – ugh am sorry you had such a bad experience – it really depends on who you get and this guy was amazing! why on earth would they be so horrible and negative?!?! you should have complained or something
I already signed up to take the lest for Labor Services Rep as a backup just in case I don’t find a job in the next few months I will need something steady at least to help pay bills
“CH – not sure if you ever emailed me at my hotmail account – but I went to unemployment yesterday for my “3 month check up” and had an awesome rep who was so helpful”
Gem, When I went to meet the unemployment people, I was the first person called out of the room, and I was told – verbatim – “I’m very sorry, there’s nothing we can do for you.”. And I haven’t seen them or been asked to come see them since.
The test thing sounds interesting, I’ll look into that.
Don’t get me wrong, I worry about being unemployed as much as everyone else (feels like more than others though). We had a bunch of layoffs in 2008 and it was scary. We still have them here and there but I am a bit less worried than I was a couple of years ago.
Yeah I know it’ll be a different story if I had kids but on the plus side, hopefully it’s a 2 income household and at least that helps if one or the other gets layed off.

I’d watch a show based on Rob -but there got to be another character or angle in there
can’t all be about bedbugs, beanbags and moonface hatin!
“you should be on a reality show Rob. Wanna build a show around Rob anybody? I could produce it.”
yeah – i agree. he has ‘snooki potential’
