Oh, and a shout out to kens and won ton. Thanks for the Brighton Beach restaurant recommendations. Went with family to Kashkar. A big hit with everyone. Yum.
“if someone is going to pull a terrorist stunt in the subway system, it would be 53rd & Lex as it’s deep deep under ground and it’s a central station & location”
53 & lex doesn’t make me nervous at all. Plenty of ways out.
What scares me more than anything else in the NYC subway system is the tunnel between Times Square and Port Authority. Packed full of people, very long, easily blocked off at both ends, no way out.
72nd St (1,2,3) on UWS is pretty scary b/c of super narrow platforms. Not bad wrt cleanliness etc.
Never had any problems using the 51 / 53 & Lex station. Used to go there for either the 6 or the E to JFK.

Lech, plenty of way out wont minimize the trappling casualties
The new F station at 63rd and Lex is REALLY deep in the ground–many escalators to get there.
The V never ran on the weekend. The M never ran past where it meets the J. You guys just aren’t used to working on weekends!
Sweet haysus, Lech, that’s some crazy day. Impressive (or foolish?) that you went back to work.
Chest pain makes me think Angina. Stress-related/Over-working. Or just gas from whatever upset your innards.

“Don’t get into any controversial discussions without me.”
I am planning to bash the greentards again later today.
