  1. Agreed, jessi. I don’t go out for high priced sushi, but I agree old school is best. Simple, fresh, well-selected raw fish, no frills. No spicy tuna, no california rolls, no rolls with three or more different types of fish on the inside or outside, no fancy sauces in squeeze bottles decorating the plate, and don’t smoke or cure the salmon. Dip just the corner of the fish or the roll in the soy sauce, not enough to drip. Maybe a little scallion with the yellowtail. If you go high end, don’t order at all, let the chef take care of you. As for local, just keep the fish fresh and the presentation simple, and I don’t care if there’s no toro.

  2. donatella…there is a “chinese wall” between investment banking and equity sales. There really isn’t a “sales desk” in investment banking.

    And yes, equity sales requires a lot of ass kissing but maybe sales trading requires more.
