Anyone complaining about the MTA can jump in to the 130 Livingston Street//MM post. She loves the building, i wanna know who are all the people IN the building?
for all the whining, subway service is much better. And you keep quoting $2.25—but average what your fare really is folks if want to be honest with your weekly or other discounts.
BTW, Maine was great. Thanks for asking.
Spectacular from cadillac mtn in acadia,
lunch overlooking picturesque fishing harbor in stonington,
stayed at former home of a dutch mystery writer,
visited GoodLife Center (home of Scott Nearing) in harborside, simple lobster dinner on some pier near East Blue Hill. Great weather.
etson, you’re right. The subways and buses in Toronto are incredibly clean and fairly efficient, but I know better than to compare them to New York (even though Rob mistakenly assumed I was doing that). Toronto has three subway lines and it’s a newer system. It’s an apples and oranges comparison to the MTA. And you’re also right about the public perception of the TTC in Toronto. It is a very unpopular organization, primarily, as you pointed out, due to the fact the union seems to go on a mass strike every couple of years. The old joke is that TTC stands for “Take The Car”.
Where’s m4l today? Look’s like a ‘weee’ closing.
“ishatr, the Bay area seems to have the highest number of “people roaming the streets with mental health issues”
Williamsburg for sure.

My brownstone is listed at having cost $8,000 in 1888. That’s $186,000 in 2009 dollars.
Anyone complaining about the price of the subway better not have a car.
Is it raunch hour yet?
