Biff, Clinton Hill (particularly that stretch of Atlantic) is not safe enough to park your bike there – ie you’ll hear about how Donatella’s tenant got her bike stolen even thought chain out front of home (Donatella, wink wink we know nothing about it). anyhow, best cab it over
I’m with you Bif. Bikes are good. skylights are good. Bedbugs are icky and will never be able to learn even basic physics.
Registering bikes is a bad idea except for under 10 year olds. And tricycles should pay more than cars, As for training wheels, I say charge by the axle.
yes, I gained a lot of weight during my pregnancy.
And getting thicker….I’m eating lots of chocolate.
And don’t forget in the winter, you’ll need to buy thicker comforters for the family cause heat may escape thru the solar panels…er, I mean skylights. And I know you wouldn’t want to use up any more gas to heat your house.
G10, yes, you did reply with thoughtful posts, as did Dona, as usual. And you made some very good points. I’ve lost the will to get involved in bike discussions, at least for today. We can finish the debate over a beverage at Hot Bird. I’ll ride my bike there and you drive and we’ll try to avoid hitting each other. 🙂
the ones to bitch the least has their tax remain on the books vs the loudest bitching gets tax repealled. it’s a good time to teach folks a lesson on how voting/hounding officials is key to this democratic system – ie one gets what one CANT fight off
“im not anti bike, im anti this whole martyr complex and omg we are the ones who are saving the environment blah blah blah. believe me in the grand scheme of things you are doing shyte.”
“Being against cycling is like being against solar panels. People should be given incentives to cycle more and drive less, not penalized for it.”
Biff, I find very intriguing the cities in Europe where they have public bike rentals all over the city, and a lot of streets closed to motor vehicle traffic, and enforcement of traffic laws vis-a-vis BOTH cyclists and motor vehicle drivers. Amsterdam comes to mind. I think that kind of program would work well in a city like New York too.

I give up. It’s like trying to teach nuclear physics to a bed bug. Carry on…
Well, we are back to poo mist and bedbugs — I see we have come full circle in our discussion today.
