Shit. Was just thinking, “I need cigs. I’ll walk down to Rite Aid.” I somehow doubt Rite Aid is open after being turned into a drive-thru yesterday. Dammit!
Since the 4/5 is the only east side line, they put tons of them on the line to carry all the people, so they are slow. They come all the time, though, even if they are slow. The C actually comes every 10-15 minutes at rush hour!!
But enough of this!! Let’s spend our money on BIKE LANES AND SUMMER STREET CLOSURES!!!! (See Ishtar, you think YOU are a complainer…)
The 4/5 aren’t terrible, dh. The crowding is awful, but otherwise they tend to run with few problems. I really wish they had introduced those “seatless” cars on the Lex Ave line.
My only gripe is heading home after work. That sucker can creep like no other between Grand Central and Union Square. I mean creep to the point where 4 six trains have zoomed by.
donatella, in the morning, the A comes every 5 minutes, exactly. I think the C does too but I never take it so not paying attention.
There’s an a at 7:00, 7:05 and 7:10 almost to the second when I’m taking it in the morning.

People on the L are generally L:) except for all the hot Latinos.

Most subway train fights I witnessed were on the 4. Folks go nuts trying to hug that damned door. Ridic.
I’m chary of the 4/5, wary of the A, but at least they’re not scary like the L.
Only used it for about a year (86th to GCT) but I found the 4/5 pretty good.
