  1. it would take me close to an hour to get from the Franklin Ave 4/5 stop to Grand Central back when i lived in CH.

Sure – the 4/5 comes pretty regularly – but they are PACKED and move at a snails pace. I always opt for the 6 when I can (south of 14th) and generally avoid the UES at all costs.

I think the new M is pretty freakin awesome.

  2. So if any PLUSAs are heading to the Giant/Steelers game on Saturday let me know cause I’ll be driving. Got some super nice suite seats for this game. I am excited because it’ll be my first ever Football game that I am watching live.

  3. Well, dibs, I just stand there in a stupor so I don’t really know actually, but my organized neighbor referred to the trains as coming every 10 minutes, like the 8:05, the 8:10, funny… now that I think of it. It definately is not every 5 minutes, that is for sure and I watch all those A trains race by.

  4. dibs, the C comes every 10 minutes, maybe every 7 or 8 during rush hour. I live 2 local stops further down the line than I did in Clinton Hill but it’s a lot faster because the A comes so often.

The A comes even more often between 8 and 9–like every 3 or 4 minutes.

  5. The C and the F are the only lines I refuse to live near, but that’s only during the winter. Any line is fine when the weather is decent. You can just head above ground and walk to the next nearest train, provided you don’t live in Inwood, The Bronx, most of Queens and the outter reaches of Brooklyn.

Kinda funny. I have a friend who lives in what I think is ENY. She take the LIRR to Jamaica and then to Penn Station. She said it takes her 30 minutes tops if she catches non-stop from Jamaica. She’s between the L and the 3.
