  1. Love Cirque Du Soleil. Saw their 2nd show in NYC, back in ’87, and was blown away. Saw three shows after that, and while all were good, especially the 3rd, none were ever as cool as that first one. It was truly magical.

I had a friend who tried out for them, long ago, as a clown. He was a graduate of Barnum and Bailey Clown College. He eventually became, and I think still is, one of Barnum’s top clowns. He’s a Park Slope boy, going to show there have always been clowns in the Slope.

    Rob has bedbugs. Big shock.

EXCUSE ME, Dickasaurus Rex!?! i do NOT have bedbugs. my apt building has them. big difference. i am devising a plan to not get them.

googling the things that bedbugs dont like shows me that i can wipe the front door saddle with it, any areas in the apartment with pipes that come from above and below, and all the window sills.

    the war is ON!

and please petition the government to bring back DDT and stop eurotrash from bringing more bedbugs to this country.

  3. I think they do make that paint in different colors, Legion. I will check the exact name but it is oil based “low lustre” paint for wood and metal. The quart cans are one process/primer included.

Lech, that is serious athletics. I was amazed at the athletics at Ringling Bros – very impressive. But the Cirque de Soleil folks are a combination of contortionists and gymnasts beyond belief.

  4. good afternoon, a bit of tragic news from this weekend 🙁
yesterday i was doing laundry and on top of the WASHER was a dead bed bug. i took it on a napkin and showed it to people and looked it up online with google images and it was in fact a definitely bed bug ID. ive spent the last 24 hours going obsessively going thru every nook and cranny of my bedroom. i almost had a fit last night and was tempted to throw everything i own out, im talking EVERYTHING! luckily i came to my sense and did not do that.

question that i cant seem to find online… our building has a monthly exterminator but we normally dont let them in because we dont have a bug problem and that stuff smells bad and whatever, with the dogs and stuff… will a regular exterminator keep bed bugs from entering this apt? it’s on the ground floor so i am worried.. do bedbugs usually go up like roaches or do they go down like mice, rats, and spiders?

i had to take a sick day from work today due to stress and a lack of sleep. i am seriously beyond creeped out and worried about this. everyone ive talked to about it essentially blew it off as not that big of a deal. um what?

is there anything i can do to prevent them from coming into this apartment? from my nutcase bonkers inspection i have found none and no signs of them, but seeing one in the laundry room is just gross. i dont even want to use the washing and drying machines anymore.
