  1. Legion, funny you should mention about the park in LIC. I think they call it Gantry State Park?

Mrs. D and I went there a couple of weeks ago as I’d been meaning to give it a closer look. Really beautiful. Would you believe hammocks, people?

They even have a separate fishing pier (keeps the riff raff away from everyone else, lol) with a stainless steel sink and table to clean and wash the fish.

Obvious to compare it to BB Park. Less crowded, some kid facilities but not as segregated as BB park. Hard to pick a winner but very impressive to see NYC with these kinds of facilities now.

I’d been meaning to put up some pix… here they are.

PS: We were planning to go into Manhattan and walk up the Greenway, but he trains were so fucked that we jumped on the ‘G’ and went there instead. G train, last stop, gets it done.

  2. Actually now I think of it I’ve only ever worked in the lower taxed one and lived in the higher one (CT vs NY) so not sure if it works the other way around.
ON and NY are about the same but with fewer deductions in ON.

  3. DeLepp, yes! Those little puff pastries are great!

Hipster, I saw that on the Forum; it is a kind of no win situation. But to be honest, I don’t think our girl will haul that thing up and down the stairs. She is incredibly resourceful and I think she will find another way. She is also a neat-freak/order freak of the first order, so I think tire marks would offend her as much as me. I suggested a public bike rack I saw a half a block away and I think she is consulting with the other tenant on some solution together. I am getting my railings scraped and repainted and really don’t want the bikes there (people have been known to actually damage, cut railings to get bikes).
