DIBS (and anyone else who may know),
I wanted to go check out the Corcoran listing on 3 Spencer near the Franklin C stop. Thoughts? They are asking $995k which seems way too high to me, but the rent roll seems to make it reasonable. Thoughts on the price and area?
Sorry but Terrace bagels are overhyped. They freaking charge $3.50 for a bagel with regular scream cheese. That’s just ridiculous! Plus they are nothing special. I’ll take an H&H or Murray’s bagels over Terrace Bagels anyday.
Gem – good to know we’re on the same page. I’ve gotta pick up bagels Saturday for breakfast in the South Slope so I’ll be sure to try Terrace Bagels! Thanks.
Kens, yes, my mother would win. She had a sense of righteousness which was terrifying.
Legion, that is very funny about the machine. I lived about a drug operation – a bodega run by Rastafarians on 90th and 1st ave in Manhattan and enjoyed the sounds of late night fights, including one maniac who smashed every glass surface in the place including front windows with a baseball bat. I could have used some sound machine, but dripping would never have done it.
Once I woke up in Kansas City with a big smile on my face, feeling so so happy. It took me a while to figure out what was happening with me, but I had fallen asleep to the TV and I was sleeping with Law and Order on — the sounds of the city — screetching traffic, gunshots, amulances, police cars, construction etc — and I was dreaming I was back home in New york. So happy.

“the bagel paradigm ”
OY
Jessi!!! – yes H&H is the bagel paradigm in my opinon
Bergen Bagels are great! I’m Jewish and from Philly so my opinion counts. H&H really are the best of NY.
ishtar, I think you’re just trying to start a schmear campaign.
