Etson, I 3 buildings North of the North East corner. I don’t know what happened with the drug store, but I think it might be a little restaurant now. I remember the laundermat across the street.
Terrace Bagels is almost as good as H&H, H&H is the best – no denying that – but no one in BK serves H&H so you have to go with a runner-up which I think is Terrace Bagels!
Etson, that was the reason I moved to Brooklyn! Yes, it was before you were there. I moved in 1984. I was burglarized three times. I avoided those drug dealers like the plague, but the third time I was burglarized (all my Christmas presents, received and to be given and all my jewelry), I went koo koo and went downstairs ranting and raving to them about their criminal enterprise. I think I scared THEM and they were actually nice to me, offering to find the thieves. I bet they eventually could have found them among their cutomers but that was it for me. I started looking for a place and found a nice Brownstone coop in Brooklyn Heights.
Jessi, not sure what’s the other (better) options in South Slope for bagels. I would ask 11217.
M4L, I can eat H&H bagels with no cream cheese or better at all but I would usually have the cream cheese at home to spread on them as well.
Bagel Works >> Everything

Ess-a-bagel >> H&H

Looks like the site froze for awhile. Too bad; a nice fight was heating up in the Arby’s thread.
*throws away popcorn*
Well, I think that a couple of posts of mine are going to show up now, saying the same thing — since the site froze and I tried a few times…..
Mr. B. is certainly having his challenges with the site.

Kens, I used to do that but we usually go get philly cream cheese to spread it afterwards.
