To tell you the truth, Biff, I didn’t remember those restaurants as having such fabulous food as being very cozy and atmospheric. I also was in Montreal in January (this time I went to Quebec City on the train too). Wow. Talk about snow and cold! It was nice though, very pretty and fresh. My friend told me that everybody puts their car away for the winter right after Christmas.
most places THROW OUT their day old bagels (used to steal em out of the trash in college) Mile End prolly gets those fuckers for free and charges 3 bucks for something that should be in the garbage. no thanks.
I admit to not just liking fresh bagels but also well done dense toasted bagels smothered in real butter. Can’t do that too often unless I want to go on Lipitor for the rest of my life.
If I ever served onion dip and chips to guests I’d have to turn in both my gay card and my diplomas.

donatella, I boil them then I grill them until they are nitrite cancer-causing black.
I only boil them because they are typically coming out of the freezer. If I had a fresh pack for a barbecue, no boiling.
Am I the only one that knows classical music because of the cartoons I watched as a kid?
