“i wish i could afford to move back there :(”

rob, you should take up a collection. A lot of your OT friends would probably chip in.

Yeah, rob, get a Paypal account.

  2. I so much want to go to Cuba. Seriously. If everything goes perfectly, an American can go through Canada or Mexico or Nassau with no problems — they won’t stamp your passport in Cuba– but what I worry about is the outlier – something freaky, an accident, an incident where then I am a law breaker and not sure of my rights.

  3. “Am I the only one that knows classical music because of the cartoons I watched as a kid?”

No. Much of my classical music appreciation began with Warner Bros. cartoons. The link you posted is an all-time classic and should be in the Smithsonian!

  4. My friend has withering things to say about the Quebecquoi (is that how you spell it?) the super duper French separatist movement/mentality in the state of Quebec. Her roots are English/Canadian but many of her relatives left a number of years ago when the Quebec government was granted more autonomy and businesses left. There is a real predjudice as she describes it against her (I don’t know how they can tell); she speaks perfect French (French Canadian but also more formal French/French), but in some real estate issues she has with the municipality, she complains fiercely about the harrassment and discrimination she feels she is receiving due to her roots/affiliation.

  5. NYC bagels are actually pretty shitty. Long island bagels too (and yes ive had bagels on long island before!) new jersey bagels are known to be the best in the world.

actually pretty much everything in jersey is better than nyc. i wish i could afford to move back there 🙁
