  1. “Scooby Doo – best cartoon of all TIME!”

Please turn in your Gemini membership card!!

EVERY SINGLE EPISODE OF THE SHOW IS THE SAME:Identify ghost/crook/scary guy, whine, hide, try to score free food, corner scary guy who turns out to be Mr. Smith/Jones/Parker/Walters from earlier in the cartoon.

I hate that whining, flea-bitten mutt! That guy with the ascot is a dork! The theme music is totally annoying! That Shaggy loser is an exact replica of Rob!! They never even change their clothes!

SCOOBY DOO IS HANDS DOWN WORST CARTOON IN THE HISTORY OF THE UNIVERSE!!!

  2. yeah etson, we used to go to Montreal a few times a year, then when the whole separatist thing got really ugly, and business pulled out, you could feel it in the air. Not only was it tense, the economy was pretty bad also, which never makes for a good time. So we stopped going for a few years. But Montreal seems to have done a great job reinventing itself.

  3. quote:
“General Electric Co.’s research arm won a $6.5 million grant to develop sensors based on the chemical-sensing abilities of butterfly wingtips that may be used to detect emissions, explosives, and even disease from people’s breath.”

that doesnt surprise me one bit. but i havent been a Butterfly in like almost a year. I’m Watercress now.

    *rob*

  4. I think the Cubans are pretty easy on Americans bearing US dollars and recent (I believe pretty knowledgeable) emigree from Cuba tells me that medical care is great and no questions for care for Americans, but having spent some time in a foreign hospital following an accident, I would have to have some kind of official status. I am too nervous to do anything not completely official.

  5. You can do it, Donatella, just as you described. As long as you don’t do anything crazy over there or on your way back (i.e., smuggle 5,000 cigars for re-sale in the U.S.) you should be OK. Never been there myself but several journalist friends have. In fact, journalists are allowed special privileges to travel there, as I understand it.
