  1. MM, I’ll tell you why some people stand in the doorway. It’s because they don’t want to trod behind the masses of slow moving people when they leave. I swear it takes three times as long to get up the stairs when you’re behind a mass of lazy asses than when you’re the first out the door and up the stairs. it’s just sooooo annoying to plod at that pace.

  2. “Lechacal, dirty hipster said that you were very effective in dealing with obnoxious hipsters in public drinking emporiums.”

Sweet!! I’ve been ignoring the OT, mostly because I’m not forced to sit in front of a computer all day, so why would I, but also because I’ve been on jury duty.

  3. I used to take the C more often than the A, because at rush hour, it was less crowded at Nostrand Ave, and the train would clear out at Lafayette St. when all the kids got off to go to school. I’d just stand in front of a teenager, and 8 times out of 10, he/she would get off there, and I got a seat.

The A train, on the other hand would be packed, especially in the damn doorways, so you couldn’t get in, and then you had to push into the middle of the car, which was often relatively uncrowded. I don’t understand why people have to pack the doorways, especially when they are getting out at stops like Broadway-Nassau, where the entire car empties out. It’s not like they won’t be able to get out otherwise. It makes no sense.
