  1. Isn’t it amazing……

……when President Obama is called to account for the state of the economy, his refrain is “Look at the mess I inherited!!! It’s Bush’s fault!!!”

Yet, as we wind down our active role in Iraq, he makes a speech taking full credit for this success, despite having voted against the surge when he was in Congress. He never gives the slightest tip of the hat to Bush on this issue.

    Real class. Real manliness.

  2. “Rudy” – now there is great model/example of hetero marriage and child raising. annul the 1st, publicly annouce ending the 2nd while running around with the next one, kids that won’t speak to him….etc, etc, etc

Courts striking down laws is not a new thing…. it’s called, HOW LAW WORKS!

Just because folks vote for it doesn’t mean it is constitutional or legal. Folks can vote to ban all black people from theaters, but that doesn’t make it a valid law!

And regarding the unpopular law bullshit. Jaysus H. Christmas. I’m not arguing for or against the healthcare legislation here, just calling you out. That is the weakest argument EVER. I can think of at least a dozen MAJOR pieces of legislation that changed the United States for the better and were *unpopular*

Governing should not be about popularity. The idea is that we are supposed to hire (elect) EXPERTS to look at the short- and long-term effects of X Y and Z and we ask them to make those decisions for us. THE PROBLEM today is that everything is based on polling of the uninformed public. Their opinions are no based on deliberation and debate, but rather on sound bites on Fox and from Katy Curic. Opinions that change more often than Rob’s underpants.

  4. “The most affluent 400 earners in 2007 — who earned an average of more than $340 million dollars each that year — paid only 17 percent of their income in tax, a lower rate than many middle class families,” he said. “The legacy of the crisis is millions of unemployed Americans, idled factories, a national debt swollen by eight years of deficit spending and growing income inequality.”

That dude is off his rocker. Does he seriously think having a daddy & daddy or mommy & mommy for a kid is worse off than growing up in some foster home?

LFMAO. i’d totally run away if i was stuck with two mommies. two daddy’s MIGHT be okay, as long as they arent all up in your business type of thing. but im sorry, two moms? that sounds like a living nightmare. it has nothing to do with them being gay, it’s just having TWO MOTHERS to deal with. no thank you!

  6. Since Bklyncouch specifically mentioned adoption, I believe it may be sour grapes–thinking that gay couples are getting their babies before him or her and his/her morally and legally married spouse. Adoption can be a very competitive arena these days–never mind what’s best for the child.
