m4l, if it is structured properly, there is no cash outlay by the government. They merely change what’s on the balance sheet of Fannie. Yes, less money will be coming into Fannie but that’s not in the government budget since these are “off balance sheet” agencies.
DIBS, if this writedown is not in the current budget (& deficit) projections, it’ll be another nut we taxpayers will have to come up taxes to fund. if gov going to tax me more, I only ask we ploy it all-in into job creation and not bailing out homeowners. want to help homeowners? do it after we get jobs going
I don’t consider my dog “property” how ridiculous. he’s my friend. a lazy one that has chosen an extended stay with me rent free and eats me out of house and home. and he cannot poop and pee on his own, so he needs help. i do not own him.
Christie would be wasted as VP. a ballsy leader is wasted as VP. If Christie can pull off what we hope he’ll pull off in NJ, no way he should run 2nd seed to Romney. I’m sorry but getting clobbered by McCain in primary is an indication of weakness and he couldn’t even convince McCain he better choice as VP over Palin. Again, I hope Christie runs as independent and free himself of this political party alignment bull crap.
How is it an additional right to marry the person of your choice? Are you saying the norm is to marry someone you will be miserable with, either as a hetero or homosexual couple, but marrying someone you love is an extra, a perk? That’s cynical, not to mention extremely flawed reasoning.
