  1. haha – well the stupid broker used a wide angle lens, which made the room look bigger but the ceilings lower. But yeah, i like the inside of the ansonia place better – especially now that i know that those mill beams aren’t functional.

last time i walked by the ansonia (in transit to double windsor) – 12th street had a TON of rats running around. wtf is up with that?

  2. It’s also 840K. Not 1.8 million. ;))

And actually, the place I listed in the Ansonia has far more of a loft look than the place in Williamsburg. But it’s not near Marlow & Sons, so I guess that makes up for the $1,000,00 difference. 🙂

  3. I know it M4L, but those 2 popped out as being interesting because of the outdoor space especially. And the Ansonia is a great building.

Actually the one I linked on St. Mark’s in Prospect Heights is even more interesting and Vanderbilt Ave is awesome these days (as you know). Probably one of my favorite strips in Brooklyn.

  4. “If I don’t find one soon he’ll go to that place on Bedford Ave in Williamsburg that charges $70 for men’s hair.”

You mean the little barber shop on N9th/Bedford? It’s actually only 25 for a men’s cut – 35 for long hair.

  5. Heather, I get my haircuts in Chinatown – it’s a no frills barbershop. my place speaks little to no english but I think my old place does. email me if you want that location – also in Chinatown.
