Well, BFT, Mrs. Robinson!! It’s been too awful here without you. Sorry, if we left a mess by the pool, but we didn’t expect you home so soon. Please let us know if you need anything.
DIBS – The number of pages blustering is really meaningless. It’s absurd theatrics. The comparison is always to the FOUNDATIONAL programs or things like the Bill of Rights.
Almost all legislation written today BUILDS ON those foundations AND has decades or centuries of related laws, court decision, and so on to deal with. Obviously they need to be more complex.
CGAr…this one is even better, also from this morning’s gartman Letter regarding everything Geithner said about the rescinding of the tax cuts over the weekend….
The more we live our lives under the
Obama Administration’s economic
policies the more fearful we become
that the what Peggy Noonan once
referred to as the Great Golden
Goose that once was the American
economy shall never be that same
goose again. The Obama
Administration misunderstands
incentives in a manner unlike any
American Administration in our
lifetime… worse even than the Carter Administration
and rivaling that of the Roosevelt Administration long
before we were alive. Incentives drive economic
activity, but according to the Obama/Geithner model
that is nonsense. How sad to witness a goose killing.
I went to the open house on Bergen in Crown Heights. Who ever mentioned something about the wood work in the house possibly being in poor condition because of the dark “stain” was correct. It was in pretty poor shape and to make matters worse, the wood was painted some awful poop brown color.
Basically, what the owner has done is a totally crappy reno and is now trying to charge pretty close to top value for this area and house. No way is that place worth almost 800K. I wouldn’t pay a penny over 550K because the first thing you’ll want to do on move in is re-do the kitchens and bathrooms. I won’t even get on the leaning CARPETED staircases. I would hate to see what’s under there when the carpeting is removed. YIKES!
arkady, glad you’re home and stay well.
Arkady, i’d give the pool an extra dose of chlorine. If people like cobble & Pete were in there, there’s bound to be cooties.
I just posted another skylight question in the Forum. If anyone has any insight, that would be great.
Welcome back, Arkady! You were sorely missed.
So happy to hear you are on the road to recovery. Let us know if you need any help with anything please.

Arkady, so glad you are home and on the road to recovery. We miss your voice of reason here. Get well soon!
