“there is a solid group of “conservative” minorities
who simply don’t buy into the generalization of
“conservative race baiting” as you stated”
Thanks for the list, Legion. As I said, there are black (and Jewish and female and Asian) republicans. And I imagine those folks concur with tenets of the Republican viewpoint. That’s not news. Indeed there are (thankfully) diverse opinions in the black community.
However you’d be hard-pressed to prove that the majority of black folks share the conservative Republican point of view.
“trying to get people to be free of racism is like pushing on a string. You can keep pushing as hard as you want, but it ain’t going anywhere. ”
You’re right, lech. (insert heavy sarcasm) I think I’ll go back in time and tell Rosa Parks and MLK that. Why bother, just go fishing and ignore it. It will work itself out.
CGar, Well, you probably had your own bathroom as well. : P
SF is great, went to Mt. Tamalpais yesterday, got some sun up there above the fog, then drove down into Muir woods where it actually rained. Went to a Green Market in Fairfax – stellar strawberries and peaches, which we ate standing by the car because we couldn’t wait to get back and have them.
Cobble, trying to get people to be free of racism is like pushing on a string. You can keep pushing as hard as you want, but it ain’t going anywhere. You’re a racist, I’m a racist, everybody’s a racist. Get rid of races (which will happen) and there won’t be any more racism.
There, you can add racism to global warming and tax policy on the list of things I have 100% solved.
Or I suppose I should say (with a nod to snappy for her correcting me on terminology): Do you deny that you are prejudiced?
I bait you because you like to get outraged about stuff, cobble. It’s too easy.
Do you deny that you are a racist?

Full Disclosure:
As I’ve stated in the past,
I have both conservative and liberal views on
different issues.
…and many in between.
