I’ll bet it’s your ac…they drive up a bill very fast and very high. It costs $$$$$ to keep cool in this weather. And considering that you like to freeze, your bill would naturally be higher than most.
Rob, Coned rates have gone up, plus it’s been an extraordinarily hot summer, early too so the days are longer and the nights are hotter and people use their ac more at home. You can ask Con Ed for a level-billing plan so you pay the same amount all year–it will be less in the summer and more in the winter.
well if you know you have no interest in the job, dont go for it. you’re essentially taking away someone elses prospective job opportunity who might have an interest in it. sounds like it would be bad karma to waste peoples time AND take away someone elses opportunity. just politiely thank your friend or something. buy her a gamestop giftcard.
” buy her a gamestop giftcard.”
She’s probably not 22 either.

biff, why not, nothing wrong with honing interview skills…and meeting people. Maybe they can cater job too your liking?
“Biff – don’t waste your time (and theirs!!). You aren’t 22 and in need of practice interviews.”
Half of me is 22!
Thanks JB.
Rob, you don’t keep the A/C on when you are gone, do you?
Anecdotal evidence in NY magazine a few years ago about how people who take a local train that arrives prior to an express are less stressed out.

Rob, Mistakes on ConEd bills are very common. Could be caused by lots of things. Give them a call.
