  1. ENY, part of why we liked her too I think was that she was trained to sniff bombs. This after 9-11. So she was protecting us, even though she probably had no knowledge of the evil she was trained to detect.

  2. “Why should we love this dog so much? Why should she have this effect on us?”

The phrase “man’s best friend” is at the very least an indication of the canine’s popularity and all-around usefulness.

  3. quote:
A bunch of studies have shown that having a pet is healthy, physically and psychologically, and lowers your blood pressure, lessen anxiety and boosts your immune system.

hmmm. im not so sure about that. i find animals to be kinda stressful.

    *rob*

  4. “Why should we love this dog so much?”

Just seeing an animal in a work environment is great! It’s a wonderful treat/relief from the usual ‘wild life’ one deals with there! ; )

  5. There was a dog down at the World Financial Center, Sally.
She was a black lab, trained for bomb sniffing. I was crazy about her; she was really friendly and everybody at work would get like kids gathering around her when she came on the floors…petting her, sweet talking her and hanging out. Why should we love this dog so much? Why should she have this effect on us? Sally is retired now.

  6. ugh i took a short walk and now i literally smell like garbage! like actual roting garbage. and im still wobbly and feel like going to faint. is this what a stroke feels like!?

    lol *rob*

…did you suddenly become one of those dumpster diving “freegans”?
that diet is low on carbs which are converted to glucose for your metabolism. that may explain your light-headedness. although the brain can also function on alternative fuels like hydroxybuteryl. If you start slurring your speech or feel weak on one side that’s more of a stroke.
either way get yourself a cold Coke!

  7. Someone once told me there’s an epidemic of people finding cats on the street, acting like they’re lost, but essentially just keeping them for their own. Has anyone else heard about this? An ardent cat rescuer told me this.
