legion, with any luck, it will take me a week of evenings. Last time I needed help. I need a gamer kid. There are always issues with parts like memory and bios. But things have gotten easier, like the high end motherboards have LEDs to show that the memory sticks are working.
Dona, like DeLepp, I recently bought an HP laptop for around $550 and I’m very happy with it. You can get a decent model for under $500. Unless you’re gaming or doing complex functions with it, it should suit you fine.
Regarding the bike I’m looking at, it’s a folding bike, so I’m not sure much assembly is required. Although, if there is any assembly whatsoever, I think I should reconsider. It’ll cost me more than what I save going to the bricks and mortar store by the time I put it together and then pay a bike shop to correct everything that I’ll screw up during my assembly.
hi everyone. wasder, are you here? I took Arkady’s advice and hired a freelance skilled laborer to do the backyard– excavating (i know, bad for mother earth) and laying some stone. the stone is 3/4″ think, 2′ x 3′. cheaper than natural shape stone. today is day 2- so far, so good.
also, can’t remember if i ever updated on the front yard situation, but our old-fashioned traps killed 2 rats, one was HUGE, possibly preggers? and the rest of the house voted to tear down our wooden trash container we commissioned 2 years ago, in favor and bare cans, even though i’m not convinced it caused the rat problem. Since then, we’ve seen a rat scurry under our garden apt gate door. hubby tried to put a dorr sweep up but it came off. the struggle continues. we can’t be the only ones with this problem. i should wander over to the forum.
Biff, maybe your current bike would’ve lasted longer, if only you’d stop hitting innocent pedestrians on the Bridge!
biff, are you looking at a Swift folder? I know a woman who is selling a used one.

I changed out the disk drive on my
tower once but that’s as far as I would
go.
denton,
all kidding aside,
that sounds like a tough project.
how long does it take you
and are there issues with parts
compatibility?
“you forgot the “flux capacitor””
LOL, legion!!

hope everyone had a lovely weekend.
kens,
Montreal sounds great,
how was the weather there?
a friend of mine just came back from
a trip to Toronto, went for some
sort of Grand Prix.
this guy’s a nut, he actually
filmed himself on an IPhone
doing 150MPH on the highway in Canada.
the speedometer on his AMG goes way past that even!
