  1. CGar,

    I’ll check my email.

I’m happy to hear they’ll be asking 1500 psf for Love Lane in a rising tide kind of way. I remember seeing floorplans (here probably) and remember some outdoor space but it’s all lost in the fog now. You can see in the windows and they look “high end condo” which doesn’t feel special to me, but is certainly nice. I really like the windows they put in.

Donatella, yeah parking has steadily got worst yr after yr – probably new folks moving into hood has or went to get cars. If not for the crazy snow storms, I would not be parking my car in the lot

We’ve been told time and time again by the What and cornerbodega and others that everyone’s moving back to manhattan. How can this be????

  3. M4L, I used to have a garage (DeKalb and Ashland) but it is a hike from my house, then went up in price and I decided to just deal with parking. If I had a lot nearby, I might do that because digging out the car (every time you use it) in the winter is brutal on top of the sidewalks and stoop, etc.

I wouldn’t rely on the What for accurate demographic analysis.

  4. I find it interesting that no one found my “Afternoon Newsbreak” the least bit interesting… or did everyone know that the NYPD “Traffic Enforcement” was just a clerical position?

  6. lechacal, the fumes from an electric fire are very toxic.

In Philly, we had an underground transformer catch on fire next to our house and the only escape route for the fumes was through the pipe into our main box. it filled the house, the fire dept came and assessed that it was not in our house and basically said to get a fan and air out the house.

The utility was there ASAP b/c the fire dept. called them.

My point is that it seems every dept (fire & DOB especially) are quick to vacate houses up here, which, as we’ve seen previously is an over-reaction.
