Fires are so scary. I have thought about it. We’d be toast if a fire started between the bedroom and the front door. But if we had even just 15 seconds, we could get to the deck and to fire escape or neighboring decks.
Tybur6, Point taken. I would prefer not to be hit by a car.
eeeks
aim conversation with a coworker just now..
(5:03:30 PM): i guess the house next tim’s is on fire!
(5:03:42 PM): eeks!
(5:03:56 PM): did he leave?
(5:03:57 PM): yeah he just ran outta here
a bunch of people i work with live in PS. does anyone have any update? is it out? is it the same fire you guys were just talking about earlier?
ha m4l! i guess technically you really could do that in new construction. (kicking thru the drywall to get into a neighbors apartment). also beams are now placed 24 inches apartment from each other to save on construction cost, instead of 16 inches like they used to be! so at least you have 2 full feet to exit thru!
ive always wondered about new construction and peeping toms or perverts poking holes thru the walls to see in their neighbor’s apartments or to shoot spitballs or whatever!

I don’t think I could ever visit someone who lived in a place called “Tiffany Place.”
Dave, you’re such a wuss! Who would have thought?
There shouldn’t be bars on your windows unless you have small children in the apartment.
Rob, even if it’s 16 inches apart, am sure you can use something to ram those beams down (ie sofa, kung fu kick, )
We haven’t had a good PS Food Coop discussion in a long time.

“Arkady, you are right. He did that to stir the pot a little – he knows his readership.”
Next it’ll be the PS Food Co-op or strollers… ; )
“Toast.”
