Benchmark restaurant on 2nd Street just off 5th Ave. Mr. B. recently ran a thread on it. According to FSRG (who is somewhat of a steak connoisseur) it’s up there with Peter Luger’s.
Rob, Why not go to Robert Moses State Park, or Long Beach for the day, if it’s beach your after? Closer, cheaper. Nice beaches. You can walk all the way up the beach at Robert Moses to Fire Island. I’ve done that, it’s pretty great!
“Where’s the Marriott Downtown?”
On Adams, near Willoughby-ish, DIBS. Haven’t been there.
I prefer Sparks.

Where’s the Marriott Downtown??? I also like a bit of ambiance as well. Walking into a Marriott doesn’t instill confidence in such.

DeLepp, unfortunately I have to agree with you. And, i do agree than Keens is the best.
“there is a ruth chris in marriot downtown, best to just stay in mahattan and go to keens.”
I think you mean Morton’s.
Is there a good steak restaurant in brooklyn that takes reservations, other than Luger’s???
