omg, do NOT do that yourself. i opened up the top of a toilet tank in my first apartment once because the toilet wasnt working right, and i nearly dropped the lid on my foot and ran out of the toilet closet SCREAMING and i was afraid to go back in and wound up peeing in the sink in the kitchen until the super was able to come up and fix it.

my roommate changed the bulb in the bathroom, and i am keeping my light switch off and just using a floor lamp. i took out the bulbs from the ceiling above. i saw my super yesterday and told him about the situation but he kinda gave me the cold shouldar and told me “they have special people who deal with that” and walked away. i dont know what he meant by that.

donatella, yes have done it. VERY EASY. If what Dave said is not the issue, you just buy the full kit, turn off water, screw off the little hose that goes to your take, take out the whole mechanism thing, out the new one in, screw the hose back in, turn water on. DONE!
Dave, I know about licenses. I am Russian remember. Had Jersey plates and license for years (Shhhh, never really lived in Jersey) :o).
