World Cup picks, the REAL Olympics:
The only chance the USA has is if England uses only one striker, Rooney, the way they did in 2006, instead of two. One of the other strikers, Peter Crouch, is 6’6″ I believe. Rooney has a hot temper and Landon Donovan has a habit of pissing off international soccer stars but Rooney’s game is too good to waste yellowcards on Americans.
Prediction: 3-1, England.
USA’s Gomez will be the breakout star of the World Cup, although the Americans will lose to Germany in the first game of the second round.
Argentina will play well despite Maradona’s antics. a quarterfinal match with either germany or England – yes!
Brazil will not reach the semifinals due to trying to change their style of play from free-for-all flowing to more organized European style.
