donatella, you’ve been ignoring me all day. Did the 2 Mexican gardeners I sent you not work out???
I am sorry, CGar. Thank you so much for that. But what happened is this. Me, myself and I ventured out into the backyard to assess the damage back there, then I started sweeping up mountains of tree detritus, yanking out weeds out of the garden, out between the bricks, in the garden and spraying the yellow spots on the rose bush, and picking up some of thousand twigs and sticks, then trying to clean up the incredibly messy looking bricks, and then I was filthy and I was well into the day and looked like an escaped convict covered in mud and dirt, etc. and well, I wound up working by myself (mercifully). But when I actually get a few flowers, I will call them to help me plant.
Not a moment too soon. It’s got to be this weekend.
Dave, that was for your benefit. I sent “her” 2 gardeners, but don’t know if they were Mexican. I did stumble upon your garden in GOTD this weekend — beautiful; I was going to use the same company to build a deck off my kitchen.
Yes, I am the same, Dave. I really can’t come back and work after that. Also, drinking puts me in a goofy mood and I try to affect a demeanor of gravitas during the day.
aahhem…
Biff, you’re part Chinese now thru marriage so you’ll be able to survive the halal food no problemo – cause we Chinese have eaten far worst and have survived
donatella, I rarely drink at lunch, very rarely, maybe twice ayear.
but when I do, it’s with one of two brit friends who live in Asia. When it happens, i have to have all my trades done before I leave. lunbch starts at 12:00 and ends sometime around 4:30.
The last time was at maloney & porcelli and at the end of lunch, the waiter came over and told us that he “hadn’t seen something like that in quite a long time.”
