CGar, my, that sounds like a pretty nice offer. 🙂 The backyard actually did look wonderful, not so much last year when I didn’t spend too much time back there (didn’t it rain 90% of the days last summer?) but the summer before when I had tons of annuals. Because I have been getting the monster tree trimmed, (Norway maple), regularly nothing too bad happened with those nasty high wind storms we had 6 weeks or so ago, just lots of sticks and small branches. It’s a lot of work, but fun.
So this weekend I’m going to Vermont. My hometown is having the annual Heifer Stroll. A bunch of farmers stroll their cows down main street in an old-timey parade. The last float is always my dad and his tractor. He hitches a flat bed trailer to the back and a blue grass band plays on the float. I’m pretty sure my sisters’ circus troupe is going to be in the parade this year too.
