Tybur6, today’s MPG rating is at least 10% stricter than before. Gov has been changing the measuring standards recently. that said, your point (if stats above are legit) still valid
I dunno, by my estimation, it should take four years and nine months to go from lube to pre-k.

1998 Plymouth Breeze (with 2.4 liter engine)
= 150 horsies + 27 mpg (165 pound-feet of torque)
2009 Ford Fusion (with 2.3 liter engine)
= 160 horsies + 28 mpg (156 pound-feet of torque)
These are *very* similar cars in a lot of ways. But the Ford Fusion shows almost NO substantive improvements in 11 years.

My nursery school did have some lessons but also, since it was before television was around, it was sheer entertainment. Our teacher could sing & play the piano & she could also do operatic whistling – better than Howdy Doody or Teletubbies (& miles better than Barney!)
