So Benson, I hear what you are saying about CAFE but don’t see how having efficient engines precludes other measures. Does having more efficient engines mean necessarily that there will be less investment in mass transit? I think certain efforts are PR – for example, the Chicago climate exchange traded in “voluntary” emission reductions which is primarily a PR game until we have a federal law governing CO2 emissions. I also see your point about the unprofitability of alternative energy measures now, but think that it is worth it to subsidize those to explore and develop new technologies.
