I rented Whatever Works recently. Certainly pretty funny. but same old theme/and plenty of Woody Allen himself…old neurotic jewish new yorker gets crush on young woman.
But at least he is not acting in it.
Oh lord, Creature Feature! There was this one episode where a guy/family living in a small wooden house out in the middle of nowhere is attacked by these big shrews! They’re clawing their way into the house from all points, including under the floor. Scariest sh*t EVER. I’ll never forget it.
Benson, Yes, you are right. My brother is a conservative AND has some preternatural ability to remember EVERYTHING connected to the Honeymooners. Thanks for the tip. I’ll bring that up the next time I see him.
Re: Woody Allen, I’ll have to see his tribute to Fellini. I LOVE Fellini. Woody Allen, hmm, I saw most of his movies but they never stayed with me, lots of twitchy humor and great one liners but nothing he did could compare to a film like Amarcord or La Strada. There is so much humanity and depth together with an off the wall sense of humor that Fellini has. Also, I love Martin Scorcese, probably becauses he loves Fellini.
Benson,
you do have a point though,
Manhattan is basically the story of this guy
running off with a high school girl.
Doesn’t play too well 30 years later
But the story is compelling and the
cinematography (black and white) beautiful.
The scene of them sitting on Sutton Place with the
59th street bridge in the background is classic.
QQQQ broke through resistance and is about to close the gap from this morning. Tug of war resolved in favor of the longs.
Love the poetry of Japanese Candlesticks. But I cant find any practical use for them and have read many books, including Steve Nisson’s.
Elliot Wave is another useless bit of arcana. It works great after the fact.
Favorite Woody Allen Movie: Take the Money and Run

“You make me want to be a better man”
ROTFLMMFAO
A guy once told me that being with me made him want to pull his socks up.
The most campy Japanese movie of all time is “Godzilla vs. King Kong”. I think the budget for this production was $32.54!!! It’s a hoot to watch.
Donatella: I challenge your brother to a Honeymooner’s smackdown!! Even at my poker game they acknowledge me as the king of Honeymooner trivia!
Anybody who got around to watching Annie Hall and Manhattan one year ago has not aged well.
😉

CGar,

who would drop kick Godzilla?
