Ok, so the b^&ats at Eyw Shoppe on 7th are trying to defraud me. I need one contact and had to go in (prescription expired). Doctor looks at me for 5 secs, says I need a retinal specialist and that’s all. Ni dilation (saus she can’t see in my pupils). I order the lens and they’re trying to bill me $150 for an ‘exam’. Is this OK? If I could not write a program for one of my clients because their PC was bad, would I charge them?
And I’m trying to order it from the web, but am stuck at entering the doctor’s name/phone for ‘verification’, as I’m afraid they will not verify the info as I argued with them.
I’d like to create a Forum post saying “DONT GO TO EYE SHOPPE ON Tth” but I don’t think that’s allowed…
“Guess they are worried the place will melt or something.”
— LOL
I went to Ottowa, Toronto, Niagara Falls last August and wore a coat the whole time!!
donatella,
yeah, check out Stardust Memories
it’s his take on Fellini’s 8 1/2
which I frequently post scenes from
here on the OT.
I remember Allen was criticized
for that film because it placed his
fans in an unfavorable (nutty) light.
Last year’s Oscar contender Nine
was also based on 8 1/2.

“29C = 84F. It is beautiful outside with low humidity. Guess they are worried the place will melt or something.”
San Francisco is like that, etson. Everyone completely flips out and starts falling fainting on the street if the temp goes above 85F.
CH;
We lived in Red Hook until I was 6 years old. Then we moved to Gravesend.
Just had a ‘welcome to Canada’ moment:
“Toronto health officials have issued an extreme heat alert today, with the temperature expected to hit a record of 29 C this afternoon.”

“Parts of Saturday Night Fever was filmed a few blocks from my parent’s home”
I thought your parents lived in Red Hook?
Excuse me, CGar, but I’m not sure I appreciate being called a SHREW! Is this anyway to talk to your future duplex dwelling tenant?
