  1. omfg my worst nightmare just happened. not sure why but a gaggle of about 15 nyc public school kids ages 13 or 14 or something got into the elevator in my office builing. the elevator takes forever and the second i was on i was like ugh i should have just waited for next one. there was a woman in her 20s with them who i assume maybe their teacher? kept screaming CAN WE PLEASE ACT CIVILIZED CAN WE PLEASE ACT CIVILIZED meanwhile my ears were bleeding to death. thinking to myself the whole time please dont break down elevator please dont break down

    Yeah, no moral issues need apply. I guess you’d vote for Jim Crow laws 50 years ago as well, after all the white majority did agree that blacks needed to be oppressed.

    Yeah – several of the top public schools in the country are in nassau county – and it’s no coincidence that the taxes are also high .

  4. public schools: DIBS, DIBS, I’ll *have* to put in smiley faces on my posts. My friend’s theory has nothing to with reality, it’s what he thinks public schools are philosophically brainwashing…maybe he’s right. If we taught fairness and ethics instead we’d be better off
