Good Morning PLUSAs! I went to the Central Park boathouse for brunch yesterday. I never went there before and went there with somebody from Houston. Why is it that we New Yorkers do all of these New Yorky things with out of towners? It was very pretty. Then it took us 15+ minutes to cross Fifth Avenue. It was the Salute to Israel parade, the longest parade I ever saw.
monday morning rant rant rant! maybe some of you know already, but my new hobby is painting sticks (like giant large tree brances and stuff). i set up shop outside my building and paint away (it puts me in a very good mood). everyone who passes is always so friendly and stops to chat and stuff. anyway my computer was dead and i was in a social mood and i wanted to talk about stick painting so i decided to go to those two bars that now occupy the former cattyshack. ugh. it was a sea of wall to wall aging marshmellow snowflakes. it was quite surreal. i couldnt for the life of me even start a conversation with anyone! and the drinks were absurdly expensive for a sunday afternoon. arent new bars supposed to have like specials and stuff!? and seriously, just sticking a random pinball game in a bar does not make it interesting at all. doesnt help that it’s actually the gayest pinball game ever. so anyway i had a drink in each of the new bars and just wrote in my journal. the most depressing part was roof deck of the one bar. on a sunday afternoon when it was a lesbian bar it was packed with tons of fun people of all walks of life, now it’s all resanded and has the blandest folk i ever ever witnessed. actually the roof deck only had 4 people, three people who i actually tried to talk to and me. the other bar was very packed tho.
and f*ck you MTA for replacing the old orange and yellow R trains with those stupid new blue trains that barely have any seats.
and f*ck you construction worker in front of me on line who was buying like 50 coffees and half of them you asked for 5 spoons of sugar in a small coffee. gross.
