  1. “I say we need a very high income tax on all income over say a mullion or two, and that includes any dingbat loophole compensation.”

Well, tax that away and raise the capital gains and you’ve got no incentive to invent anything, build a company or even work harder.

Tax it all and give it to the lazy entitled have-nots???

  2. watch of jester, you’ll be called “bitter” soon !

I’m actually more incensed at corporate exexutive’s pay. At least athletes and performers are paid on a discretionary basis and if I choose to go to the US Open I know I’m contributing voluntarily to the Fed’s (ererer) paycheck.

But the obscene level of corporate compensation directly affet us all. And it’s affecting for instance universities and college pay scales and for all I know, Phillipe de Monticello’s. I say we need a very high income tax on all income over say a mullion or two, and that includes any dingbat loophole compensation.

  3. “I suppose it is to much to ask that we have some local politicians who don’t whore themselves for votes”

Yes, God forbid they should feel beholden to their constituency. People don’t know what’s good for them. They need governor-nannies.

  4. “If America really cared about who real heroes were, baseball players wouldn’t be getting $15 million and teachers getting $35,000. Our priorities are all out of whack”

But isn’t that the Good Ol’ Republican Way? Market forces and all that. What do you want, socialism?

I was hanging out with some “off the grid” types last night, for the first time in quite a while. It was quite an eye-opener. Fun, but also very thought-provoking.
