  1. Legion, if it’s cooked, I’m not as skeeved out. Like I think that yummy corn that the red hook vendors/cafe habana serve with the cheese has mayo on it, right?

  2. Ty, ugh, that story made me throw up a little in my mouth, too. Nasty. Denton, I hear you on the raw egg thing, I can’t hang with it at all and I’m ashamed cause classy folks enjoy their eggs poached.

  3. The way I like brussel sprouts is, after cutting off stems and cutting two nicks into the cabbagy part, is to steam in just a bit of chix broth until almost done, then throw in butter and s&p, raise heat all the way, ends with a nice glaze.

  4. Speaking of raw meat, last week Saraghina had a spectacular steak tartare.

    If I could have envisioned steak tartare a block away from my house when i bought it in 2007 I would have paid full ask!!!!!

    Geez, arkady, not much left in the veggie world after that! Cruciferous vegetables are good for you!

    About the only thing I can’t stand is anything with eggs where the egg is not cooked all the way. Of anything that reminds me of same, brains for example.

    I don’t like okra tho, has the same slimy vibe.
