that gibberish is great. Hotmail is having problems this morning – so i can’t send it to friend using his consulting biz name.
Only word missing that I don’t see is ‘synergy’ — newest buzzword that makes me want to barf.
Rob — that’s the point. Time is money. Folks that volunteer do so *instead* of donating money. You can donate money so the organization can hire folks, or you can do the work instead. And, of course, lots of people donate both time and money.
I donate to Doctors Without Borders (not much… it’s taken out of my paycheck), they do great work. But I’m not a doctor or nurse or paramedical anything… so I can’t donate my time. (Incidentally, their Manhattan offices are a tiny, tightly run shop… and don’t have much call for office volunteers… and I have no interest in direct fund raising efforts.)
biff, you moron, when I was a kid you could only see 3 stars at night. Also, the Hudson was the color of milk, and all kinds of things used to float in it. My fave was a dead cow. What a moron.
Volunteering can be fun, Rob! I’m hoping they have something there along the lines of visiting people in nursing homes. Older folks have an incredible wealth of knowledge and sense of history. Plus, I miss my gramma. I’ll gladly hug someone else’s grammy.
No, but I spoke to someone who told me he has a dotted line reporting relationship to someone. At least he didn’t use in the same sentence, “touch base”, “circle back” and “think outside of the box” (no hetero)

Morning Noki! I too thought they should have chosen the home with the huge lake in back. Fools!
“Biff, you just got “dotted line” to someone?”
