“a Schwinn with a banana seat.”

When I was about 12, this was the ultimate expression of coolness.

rob, I’ve yelled at people in those motorized wheelchairs who ride right up behind you and then start yelling. They ride too fast on the sidewalk.

Most of them are old and no longer functional to society anyway.

    dibs,

    **Idea Lightbulb**

lets put all those folks in the motorized wheelchairs to work.
they can line up on the Brooklyn side of the bridges at 7:00AM.
people can hop on their lap and get a ride across the bridge for one dollar.
the old folks can chat about their experiences while the riders take in the scenic views.
the old folks won’t be bored
and the young folks won’t spend money on gas or subways.

hey, it works for the dollar-dollar vans on Flatbush Ave.

  3. and if you think your registration fee is what pays for road repairs and entitles you to space on the road anymore than myself – WRONG. as i said, everyone’s taxes go to that. so i’m entitled to space on the road just as much as you are.

  4. And fyi – I *hate* on car drivers also, if you haven’t noticed or read my past driving rants.

I *hate* on drivers who double park.
I *hate* on drivers that don’t use a turn signal.

    The list is too long.

  5. Wow,

I didn’t mean to provoke a referendum. I was just surprised at what a crappy exterior that building had since it had gotten so much attention and publicity when built. If I was around in 1889 and saw some chipping on the front of a 3 year old brownstone, I’d think they did a crappy job there, too. I might have even said, hey, brownstone’s too soft — use brick. But I do think someone who should have known better just wasn’t thinking about the design of the Satori’s veneer. Pete confirmed it.
