  1. ENY: But to be going around making a big deal out of your NYC residency or origin is just childish.

Exactly. Just as it is to think that living in a particular neighborhood for any length of time is any big deal either.

  2. I can’t believe there’s a “Do You Want the What Banned” poll! HA! HA! This is SO funny! I’ll be sure to vote early and often!

Hey, the What obviously doesn’t bother me. I think he’s funny most of the time. While I don’t agree with his personal attacks or condone them, he’s not the only one guilty of that here. I will agree he uses some particularly insulting language. But hey, that’s the blog culture!

  3. I think the Limelight was designed by one of the architects MM features. Can’t remember which one so I’ll fail her test when she gives it…unless it is multiple choice. I do well on those.

Places can’t be pretentious —only people. And I wouldn’t want to stereotype people by where they live. What city or what neighborhood. Or how long they have lived there or where they are from originally.

  4. “i just dont like people who think they are special cuz they live in nyc.”

I agree. I’m from here, but people who aggressively play the “I live in NYC” or “I’m from NYC” card bore me.

I mean, I AM proud of being from NYC because it’s my hometown. And I think a person SHOULD be proud of his/her hometown if possible (unless your hometown is REALLY bad, that is).

But to be going around making a big deal out of your NYC residency or origin is just childish.
