Yes, except lots of us have repeatedly invited you to many gatherings and you always refused. You remind me of an old Richard Pryor stand-up routine where he’s telling a story about a playground fight about to break out, and one guy is being restrained by all his friends so he starts talking smack big time, thinking there won’t be any fight because all his friends are holding him back, only this time, they let him go. Well, the anonymity of the blog is a nice restraint. I think the scary thing for you is not that a meet-up would turn confrontational or violent, but that it would turn civil, and you might actually like someone you’ve been arguing with all this time. You are too scared to find out you might have something in common with the people you think you hate. Now that would be cognative dissonance.

Miami and LA are a totally different kind of pretentious than what NYC is. I dont think Miama and LA try to be something they really arent (that might sound like an oxymoron, but it’s true). people in LA are fake yes, but they know they are fake. miami knows it’s ghetto fabulous in a cheesy way. there’s a different kind of pretentiousness in nyc.. and im not talking upper east side pretentiousness.. it’s pretty much everything the what says it is. honestly these days if someone asks me where im from or live im more inclined to actually say jersey thank brooklyn or nyc.

And you sound jealous of one an all and name calling is so third grade, I thought you lived in the hood for 47 years? Maybe try something new for a change. Maybe politics?
I think a chunky-mama like me could enjoy LA and Miami…those girls there don’t seem to eat much in their quest for the perfect body. That just means more yummy food for me 🙂
