  1. I don’t want a car in brooklyn either. Why bother?? I could actually park it in front of my house most of the time but then taking it anywhere else and trying to park is a bigger hassle. besides, when I go somewhre usually alcohol is involved. A car service makes much more sense. you can hail them on the street most of the time like a taxi anyway.

Unless I make a lot more money and get a Bentley GT and a driver.

  2. The one time I was in Houston, for a week, it was July. I brought my mountain bike, thinking I’d ride while my friend was at work. About 10am one morning, I put on my shorts and walk out of the garage with my bike…the WALL OF HEAT nearly killed me. I went back inside and watched movies! That same trip…it POURED. Houston has notoriously poor drainage despite the culverts all over the place. I got out of the car which was pretty high up, and stepped down into about a foot of water. Insane.

  3. “Does anyone else keep any kind of weapon handy at home, in case of an intruder?”

    I should hope so.

The good thing about having guns around children is you can teach them what to do when handling them, so they’ll know what to do if they come across one.

Here’s a pic of da kid from long time ago, with shooting glasses, I think she was shooting a Ruger Mark II .22 target pistol.

  4. Houston is horrible a lot of the year, super hot and humid, and torrential rainfalls in the summer (you CANT SEE in those things, scary) but Austin is in the hills with lots of lakes. It’s nice. Not all Texas has bad weather.
