“CH, Austin is nice though, isn’t it?”

I really liked it. Great music, food, places to go. Loved the hill country.

People, not so much. I really learned to dislike the fake ‘southern’ friendliness. I took them at ‘face value’, a MISTAKE.

I avoided going in Summer, usually Oct. — June. But even in June it’s pretty bad. I used to get up at 6am to go row on Lake Austin before the heat set in.

I don’t drive, so my friend was always amused that I would take a taxi to go shopping or downtown. No one knows how to live without a car there.

“Does anyone else keep any kind of weapon handy at home, in case of an intruder?”

My lilly white chest/tummy acts like a halogeon and blinds intruders, how else do you think I got andy in the sack.

i would shoot myself in the face if i had to live in texas weather. the weather today here in nyc is enough to make me want to at least scratch my eyes out. october cant get here soon enough!
