No, that would have been wrong. Try to follow what I’m saying. Tyburg6 ran into a nut case. She happened to use a racial slur, but she would have said “Sic Semper Tyrannnis!” if she thought it would piss Tyburg6 off at that point.
Her actions were WRONG by any definition. My question is this: why argue with or provoke a crazy person? JUST WALK AWAY.

Was couple months back I had some nut freak out on me on E21st manhattan. Cars lined up at light and he was trying to go around everyone on right using the bike lane. So I moved closer to bike lane so he didn’t have enough room to get thru and ahead of everyone. This is like 7:30am.
Goes beserk. eventually goes around on other side in lane of opposing traffic. I end up ahead of him again he gets out of car and starts yelling hitting my car…so I drive off and he harasses me for blocks.
I actually also disagree with longer sentences for so-called hate crimes. I think it’s a fool’s errand to try and legislate opinions/beliefs/feelings…however you wanna categorize prejudice.

That’s exactly what he should have done. In the big picture, what does it matter? As long as Tyburg6 and his passengers are OK, why try to retaliate? Will just lead to someone getting hurt, maybe even Tyburg6.
Hey, if he wanted to go redress the terrible wrong he suffered at the hands of the admittedly crazy and racist lady, he was free to do so, as you point out. But why argue with someone like that? What exactly would he have gained?
The bigger man would just brush it off. But if you feel a situation like that requires a confrontation, that’s your right, lechacal.
