Pete, joking aside, I have to say that CDog got away from me once, as did a friend’s dog who slipped out of his choke collar and ran.
The first time CDog got away, her leash came unclipped when she was pulling me, using all her strength, as we stepped out of the gate — she was raised in the country so she was used to running free — and she ran right through the intersection of Carroll & Clinton. She “had” the light so she wasn’t hit by a car, but if she hadn’t stopped to sniff on the next block, I don’t know that I would have caught her. That was NOT my negligence; it was an accident. And I would have papered all 5 boroughs with signs, and I would have been beside myself at her loss, and apoplectic that someone was tearing down my signs.
I chased my friend’s dog all over Carroll Gardens, with both the dog and me dodging traffic, and lucky that neither of us was killed. When I finally caught up to the dog, he was waiting patiently for me outside my gate. That, too, could’ve ended very badly. Again, it was an accident that he got away, only because he was able to slip his choke collar which he’d never done before.
Well, Expert, they will surely find at least some random specks of glitter on their tees. Nothing in my apartment has been spared the accidental dusting of glitter. And incidentally, I think my hair looks kinda spiffy with specks of green and blue 🙂
On this front, I noticed something that I found disturbing as I walked by the black car line-up outside Credit Suisse on E 24th Street… they have a Dispatcher! A full-time ‘effing dispatcher for the fancy pants bankers and their car services. Are you joking? I know it’s a drop in the bucket, but come on… I would imagine this must be at least two shifts at around $50-60,000 each (including benefits, payroll taxes, etc.)
You may not have noticed that C reported a first quarter profit of $4.4BN this morning.
Holmes! Whassup?!
“Snappy, you should have screwed them.”
Screwing people is your answer to everything, ET.
A secret glitter dropping compartment, eh? Not bad. Not bad at all.

At least 50% of you should be offended by at least one of those statements.
