“You can debate which is better/fairer method of taxation/financing for schools but where you raise revenue does not affect the school system…it is how much/how well it is spent, etc.”
Pete, thanks. So students per head get as much in nyc as they would in a nj suburban school district? (being serious here)
quote:
NYC chooses to shift some of tax burden to income rather than real estate…School districts outside the city are their own taxing authority and can only use real estate taxes to finance schools. You can debate which is better/fairer method of taxation/financing for schools but where you raise revenue does not affect the school system…it is how much/how well it is spent, etc.
and that is F-CKED UP! it should be people who own houses who have kids who pay more taxes (real estate) to pay for their kids education. why are Persons Without Other taxed so heavily to subsidize other people’s kids?! totally unfair. you might be right about the last part tho. no matter how much money you throw at nyc school kids they will mostly always be dumb as a box of rocks and ignorant.
money doesnt really solve those kinds of problems.
I just threw out a perfectly good half slice of pizza. Will nobody say anything if I get hungry later and go into my garbage bin later and take another bite?
Rob, answer is young single people dont vote enough collectively for their views. dont vote, get shafted

NYC is definitely different. I’m comparing NJ with PA.
Biff, if that’s a clean garbage bag from last night with nothing else thrown in there, I think the pizza is fine for consumption later
