  1. I wish I could pass on my powers of Rob-management to you, Cobble and bxgrl. Last time I saw him he was sitting across a table from me, and when I’d glance at him I’d catch staring at me with this total look of hate. Like, “f*ing jester.”

  2. I love how the most opinionated person re public schools
    #1- has no kids
#2 has never attended a NYC school
#3 is proud to say he does not vote
#4 complains about how much other people whine, while winning the Whine award. On a daily basis.

  3. the NYC public schools did well enough job on me and my bro. it could be better but it’s suffice to enable “making it in NYC”. besides, school is easy in this country. I have yet to encounter an immigrant who thinks school here is harder than the home country

  4. quote:
Rob, answer is young single people dont vote enough collectively for their views. dont vote, get shafted

yeah, i dont believe in voting tho. most people who vote are of the gimme gimme gimme gimme gimme gimme free this free that free this more free that variety.

we get shafted, not because of a lack of voting, but because government is afraid to look poor people in the eyes and say F-U YOURE ON YOUR OWN NOW! which is exactly what it should do.

our government is not supposed to be a charity!

  5. Biff, if that’s a clean garbage bag from last night with nothing else thrown in there, I think the pizza is fine for consumption later

I just love the practical and useful advice I garner from my time spent on the OT. 😉

  6. quote:
Pete, thanks. So students per head get as much in nyc as they would in a nj suburban school district? (being serious here)

no, they dont. nyc also keeps the non working teachers who are kinda sorta fired but not, in rubber rooms for years. paid! plus almost like every kid in the nyc public school system gets their welfare lunch tickets. so it adds up, fast!
